"It's an absolute pleasure for me to be able to create an artwork that will have true meaning for it's recipient!  Something that rarely happens
for the collector."

What is encaustic and cold wax?

PictureEncaustic detail

Encaustic:
Encaustic medium is a blend of beeswax and resin or castor wax and is applied in a molten state.  Each layer or wax is fused to the layer below using intense heat.  The effects that can be applied in an encaustic work result in a rich and luscious artwork. Encaustic medium is often used with other forms of mixed media to provide beautiful and varied effects.
Cold Wax:
A medium created from a blend of natural beeswax, resin, solvent and oil pigment.
The pigment is colour and light fast and of archival quality.
No heat is used in the cold wax painting process and is easily used in
conjunction with other mixed media materials.
The finish of a cold wax artwork will be matt but can be buffed with a soft cloth to a satin sheen if desired.

The substrate or painting base will be  braced timber panels with the surrounding edges being natural timber.  These braced panels will add to the strength and durability of the artwork.

No two artworks will be alike! Your artwork will have personal meaning to you the collector, or the  recipient.   Artworks created using these mediums are uniquely tactile and luscious!
